Ooh, so sorry to stick that in your heads. I've been nurturing bored kids all day so others may have to suffer.
Well, a month has flown by and we're meeting tonight to discuss "North River." A big thank you to Marisa for offering her place. We'll start at 7:00.
For next month we decided last meeting to read "My Life in France" by Julia Child.
Here are some options courtesy of Cari (Thank you!)
"Away: A Novel" by Amy Bloom
"Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life" by Barbara Kingsolver
[from Cari] Kingsolver and her family spent a year living entirely on food they raised and the adventures and the writing are amazing. The author's husband and teenage daughter contributed sidebars and there are recipes. I don't think of Kingsolver as a laugh-out-loud-funny kind of writer, but the section on turkey sex was hilarious.
"The Story of Forgetting: A Novel" by Stefan Merrill Block
We can decide August and September tonight and send everyone off on...
Summer Reading, happened so fast

hi everyone!
I'm just finishing Away - it is a bit strange! My friend thinks her other books are very good.
